Chelsea eyeing €40m-rated star to be Kepa’s throne successor

In recent months, Chelsea have been connected to a variety of goalkeepers as they attempt to replace players like Kepa Arrizabalaga.

According to a ruмor from Fichajes, Chelsea has chosen to sell their Spanish goalkeeper at the end of the season in order to comply with financial fair play requirements.

The Blues have incurred enormous expenses under their new ownership and must now balance their books.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has performed well since replacing Graham Potter as Chelsea’s starting goalkeeper, and the Spaniard has emerged as a crucial contributor. It appears that the Blues intend to sell him and replace him with a less expensive player.

Andre Onana, the goalkeeper for Inter Milan, has reportedly been mentioned as a prospective replacement.

It will be intriguing to see whether the Blues are able to get the Cameroon goalkeeper to Stamford Bridge for a cost of approximately €40m. Onana has the ability to play for a good Premier League side, so the chance to demonstrate his talents in England is likely to appeal to him.

Next season, the 26-year-old should be able to make an immediate impact at Stamford Bridge due to his extensive experience. In addition to his shot-blocking skills, the Cameroon goalie is also fairly outstanding with his distribution.

According to reports, Inter Milan are also experiencing financial difficulties and may attempt to sell players in order to generate revenue. If Chelsea makes an attractive offer for Onana, the Italian club may be compelled to explore a summer sale.

The 26-year-career old’s would advance with a move to Chelsea, and he will be motivated to demonstrate his abilities at a higher level if the transfer to the Premier League is successful.

Potter claims Chelsea in talks with ‘important’ player despite possible summer exit

Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, has intimated that the club has discussed Mateo Kovacic’s uncertain contract position at Stamford Bridge with the midfielder.

Kovacic is one of a number of Chelsea players who are on the verge of approaching the final year of their contracts.

Hence, it is not sᴜrprising that there have been ruмors of his likely departure from Chelsea this summer.

Evening Standard reported that Chelsea had not even initiated contract negotiations with Kovacic.

Potter, however, suggested that Chelsea and the Croatian international communicate behind the scenes.

The manager informed the media on Friday (through the club’s official website) that Mateo is comparable to Mason.

“I hold him in the highest regard as a person.

He has played an integral role in the team and served as captain for the previous several games.

“From my standpoint, he is significant, but it is also up to Mateo and the club to communicate, and when they have anything to announce, I am confident they will do so.

“I believe the club frequently communicates with players.

“That does not always imply that it is public.

These events occur behind the scenes, and when we have something to tell, we will do so.

According to Potter’s admission, it is evident that he would like to retain Kovacic, whom he views as a leader in the locker room.

Yet, it remains uncertain whether the manager-mentioned negotiations between the player and the club would result in an extension agreement.

Chelsea are under financial pressure to raise revenue through player sales this summer, and Kovacic is undoubtedly one of their more marketable assets.
