Real Madrid are already lacking in depth in several positions across the pitch. Thus, it will be important for them to make sure that they do not lose any more key players in the summer. There are a number of contracts set to run out at the end of the season though and it rеmains to be seen if the club are able to agree extensions.

One player whose current deal runs out in the summer is Marco Asensio. While not a regular starter for the club, he has played the role of an impact substitute consistently and to great effect.
Thus, if Asensio does leave, Real Madrid might have a tough time finding a suitable replacemеnt to fill his role. On the other hand, there does not seem to be any lack of interest in the Spaniard’s signature.
As reported by TUTTOmercatoWEB, Arsenal is strongly interested in Asensio. AC Milan are also still thinking about the Spaniard.
Arsenal very interested in signing Real Madrid player
It is not hard to see why there is plenty of interest in Asensio’s signature. The Spaniard has an ability to impact a game off the bench, something that is rare to find in football.
Yes, it is true that Asensio has never fulfilled his potential and become a superstar at Real Madrid. But even then, he is an important part of this team and the best case scenario would be him signing a new deal and staying on at Santiago Bernabeu.

Asensio is still just 27 years of age and entering his prime as a footballer. If he does want to leave in search of more playing time, it is hard to see him being a starter at Arsenal. The story might be different at AC Milan though, especially if Brahim Diaz ends up returning to Real Madrid this summer.
Brighton joins Arsenal in race for highly rated midfielder
Arsenal has a longstanding interest in Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu and has continued to maintain that interest.

The Turkey international has been developing his career at the Dutch side and has matured into one of the finest midfielders in Europe.
Arsenal wants to add him to their squad and could make an official approach for him at the end of this season.
However, serious competition for his signature could make them strugglе to seal the deal.
A report on The Sun claims Mikel Arteta’s mеn now face competition from Brighton for his signature as the Seagulls have added him to their shopping list.
They are one of the best clubs for players to move to in England, especially if they want to keep developing before joining a top side.
This means Mikel Arteta’s mеn have their work cut out to land the midfielder.

Brighton is one of the most attractive clubs in the country and could seriously challenge us for the signature of Kokcu when the term finishes.
However, if we win the league and assure him that he will play often, it could help us seal the deal.
But we have many midfielders now and might have to offload some to add a new man in that role.
