
The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has renamed the Ezeiza sports complex after Messi in honor of his considerable influence on the 2022 FIFA World Cup competition. In order to honor Messi, this was done.
Until recently, the AFA’s Ezeiza Sports Complex was known as “Coach Humberto Grondona Sports Complex”; however, its name has now been changed to “Lionel Messi Sports Complex.”

Messi stated, as he was being presented by AFA President Claudio Tapia during the unveiling ceremony of the complex’s new name, “I am really happy for this acknowledgment and the event has produced a great degree of emotion for me.”

“I have been coming here for close to twenty years, and ever since the first time I stepped foot inside, I have sensed a really unique and powerful atmosphere. This is a very impressive location, and even now, whenever I go there, that distinct aura is always there to greet me “Messi was generous.
Messi has just finished playing with the Argentina team in a friendly match against Panama in which they won 2-0. This superstar had a hand in both of Argentina’s goals in this match, including setting up Thiago Almada for the first goal and scoring a free kick that set the stage for Argentina’s victory in the 89th minute of play.

With the Paris team, discussions for a new contract extension have been ongoing, but no agreement has been reached as of yet. The Argentine superstar will a free agent this summer if his contract is not extended.
